The Fisher House

RDU Session Players

Baghdad Bad Boys

2010 marks the seventh year the Raleigh Durham Session Players hosted their annual Marathon Jam.  What started out as a group of local musicians playing music for 12 hours in an unoccupied office in Raleigh, NC has now grown into an event that truly reaches around the globe.  Marathon Jams now take place across the country and indeed have even occurred as far away as Baghdad, Iraq all to raise money for The Fisher House.

This wonderful organization provides accommodations to the families of military personnel who have been wounded or injured in the line of duty and are receiving medical treatment away from home.  Fisher Houses across the country, allow a soldier to have his family near during his time in the hospital, when the cost of a hotel might have otherwise prevented that from happening.
